In Service: How Service Dogs Change Lives

January 25 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Jacqueline Gori is hosting a free informative evening on how service dogs can help first responders over come the debilitating disability (which PTSD causes). Her hopes are to raise funds and awareness to get more dogs to the people who need them.

Local artist Jacqueline Gori has illustrated a new book, “In Service: Portraits of Dogs That Change Lives”, written by local author Nancy Silcox.  Join Jax as she discusses her art, the dogs whose portraits comprise the book, and how she has personally benefited from the assistance of a service dog.  Joining her will be a representative from National Service Dogs to speak about the service dog program and the importance of the work these dogs do. The award winning book “In-Service-Portraits” of dogs that change lives, features 2 of the police service dogs, Vernon who works for the Kingston Police Department and Merel who works for the victim support London.
