Equine Assisted Learning – First Responders One Hoof at a Time program
March 19 @ 4:45 pm - 6:00 pm
Equine Assisted Learning is an experiential approach to teaching life skills using horses.
EAL is for anyone who can benefit from strengthening their interpersonal skills, building confidence and relating more effectively with others. Whether you want to develop different communication methods, better listening skills and better teamwork abilities or simply cope with every day life and communicating with your family, EAL might be right for you.
This is the start of a new year, so everybody will have to sign new waivers. Please come no later than 4:45. We will be starting at 5pm. We will be working with the horses in a covered area, but you should still dress for the weather and for being around horses. Layers and toe warmers are a good idea. We will go on for about one hour. Please remember that closed toe shoes are absolutely mandaroty. Do not wear steel toe boots as they can do more harm than good around horses.
We operate out of Kuruka Equestrian. 4629 Concession 2 Sunnidale, Brentwood, ON. The gate will be closed, drive in and please make sure that you close it again behind you for the safety of the horses. Park by the house and walk up to the barn. We will be in there.
