Pay it Forward – Get Involved
As a volunteer with Badge of Life Canada your expertise in a variety of disciplines could be of great value. We are looking for individuals that exemplify trust and integrity who are motivated to help others.

We look to volunteer members to support the board with the delivering of Badge of Life Canada’s mission. As a volunteer you may be asked to meet with a board member or a committee head to provide guidance. As a volunteer you would be asked to join at least one committee for 2023 and work along with the other members supporting that committee.

Volunteer Positions:

  1. Peer Support
  2. Board Members
  3. Fundraising
  4. Sponsorship
  5. Events

Qualifications:

  1. Exhibits energy and enthusiasm and an interest in working in the non-profit sector
  2. Excellent communication, and organizational skills
  3. Detail oriented with the ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  4. Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and to problem-solve
  5. Possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate
  6. Maintain confidentiality about information learned on the job

Certifications

Clinical Psychologists

Clinical Psychologists are required to complete a related Masters and Ph.D. program to practice in the province of Ontario that must be research-based and subsequently have a thesis component. They are governed by the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).

Registered Psychotherapists

Registered Psychotherapists (RPs) are registered by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and, like Registered Social Workers and Clinical Psychologists, are permitted to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy.

Registered Social Workers (RSW) are helping individuals to enhance their well-being. They are governed by the Ontario College of Social Workers.
