Badge of Life Canada is proud to announce that Commissioner Thomas W. B. Carrique , who serves as the 15th commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), will be the Keynote Speaker at this year’s event at Horseshoe Resort in Ontario. 

Advancing Post-Traumatic Growth through Solution Based Leadership

Our fourth annual “Advancing Post-Traumatic Growth Event” will be held at the Horseshoe Resort in Oro-Medonte (Ontario) on October 16-17, 2025. For this year’s Event, Badge of Life Canada brings together a distinguished group of professionals dedicated to the mental health and wellbeing of Canadian Public Safety Personnel. Featuring experts from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), alongside leading psychologists, psychotherapists and human rights lawyer, will delve into comprehensive approaches for addressing Leadership Well-Being, Transitioning to Leadership Roles, and Trauma-Informed Workplaces. This multifaceted discussion aims to equip Leaders of Canadian Public Safety organizations with knowledge, tools, and hope for navigating the challenges of leadership. Join us for an engaging and insightful days focused on achieving healthy living and post-traumatic growth.

Registration will be on the 15th of October and the Event begins on the 16th.

Clinical Psychologists

Clinical Psychologists are required to complete a related Masters and Ph.D. program to practice in the province of Ontario that must be research-based and subsequently have a thesis component. They are governed by the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).

Registered Psychotherapists

Registered Psychotherapists (RPs) are registered by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and, like Registered Social Workers and Clinical Psychologists, are permitted to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy.
