Adam holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Psychology degree from McMaster University.
Adam is an experienced Occupational Therapist that specializes in supporting first responders and frontline workers that have experienced operational stress injuries, including trauma, burnout, anxiety/depression, and moral injury throughout their careers. Adam is a leader, trainer, and supervisor in a community-based trauma treatment program, with a focus on ensuring that all of his clients receive best practice care.
Adam practices trauma-informed and strengths-based therapy, supporting clients to find the tools and skills necessary to meet their goals. Adam is trained in multiple therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and uses different cognitive and behaviour-based techniques to support clients in their recovery journey.
Adam is client-centered in his approach to care and seeks to empower clients to build resilience and develop the mental and emotional strength to handle all of life’s challenges.
