For as long as I could remember, I couldn’t shake this feeling that there had to be a better way. Something I was doing just wasn’t working and I couldn’t figure out what that something was. To put it simply, I was desperate to become “unstuck.” It was experiences like these that gave me the courage to ask for help and ultimately led me to this space.
In my work, I support individuals who are experiencing anger, anxiety, depression, stress, and difficulty with self-acceptance. In such a fast-paced society, it’s easy to feel like we can’t keep up, balance it all, or simply feel at peace. Many of my clients tell me that they feel exhausted trying to manage everything on their own and that they’re struggling to cope with everyday life. If this sounds like you and you want to get “unstuck” you’re in the right place. Together, we’ll work towards creating new embodied patterns that will support you to live an authentic life.
In order to provide the most competent care, I not only enjoy, but greatly prioritize the continued expansion of my professional skills through a few therapeutic modalities. I am currently fully trained in Somatic Experiencing and Neuroaffective Touch. I also have completed the Emotionally Focussed Therapy Externship and am enrolled in NARM (Neuroaffective relational model). The integration of these modalities allows for greater support of the organization and integration between brain and body.
In our work together, you will learn how to get your worrisome thoughts under control, understand the importance of shifting attention from your head to your body, and how to manage overwhelming emotions such as fear, shame & guilt. You will develop the ability to ask for what you need and respond in a healthy way instead of reacting from anxiety, fear, or anger. I use a compassionate, body-mind-based approach to help you reconnect with who you are meant to be.
