Carol Benjamin

I am Carol Benjamin, the owner and sole employee of KTLO. I graduated from McMaster Divinity College in 2004 with a Master of Divinity, with concentration in Pastoral Counseling. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). My license number is 007308. I am a Canadian Certified Addiction Counselor with CACCF and am trained in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM obtained from JIBC in 2012)

My specialities include Addictions, Trauma Treatment (including PTSD), Stress Management and Critical Incident Stress Response and I do possess expertise and experience with respect to a variety of other problems.

I have had over 13 years’ experience supporting people with diverse cultural, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds battling various life challenges. I provide an environment and develop clinical relationships where anyone, irrespective of their self-definition or life experience, can feel welcomed and supported.

I work from a strength-based, client-centred stance and utilize CBT, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-informed, EFT, Mindfulness and other approaches as deemed to be appropriate.
