Jon provides treatment to individuals and groups experiencing a wide range of difficulties, with a particular interest and expertise treating those (including police officers and others first responders) suffering from symptoms of trauma and PTSD. He also works to address related problems such as marital discord, anxiety/panic, and depression. Jon received his Ph.D. from The University of Toronto, where his research focused on the processing of traumatic memories through writing. He is certified as a Quality-Rated provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment for trauma. He also has training and experience in using other evidence-based treatment approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Jon currently works as a Psychologist at Remedy, which is a private practice, in Downtown Toronto.
Jon helps clients address a wide variety of concerns such as those related to mental health (e.g., anxiety, depression), self-esteem, relationships, work/school functioning, and self-discovery. He has particular expertise in treating trauma and the issues that follow from it. His practice is inclusive and he welcomes everyone without judgment.
