Dr. Gravets is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She is a member of the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA), the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies (CACBT) and the American Psychological Association (APA).

Dr. Gravets provides individualized outcome and evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments to adults (age 18 and up) in one-on-one setting. She works with a wide range of presenting difficulties including depression, anxiety (social anxiety, panic, generalized anxiety, phobias), anger, work-related stress, insomnia, low self-esteem, chronic pain, bereavement, relationship difficulties, addictions, chronic health problems and trauma.

She has a special interest in providing treatment for individuals experiencing trauma-related difficulties—including military veterans, first responders, RCMP, serving members of the Canadian Forces and the police. She also has extensive experience of working with WSIB with individuals experiencing work-related psychological trauma, and physical injuries.

Dr. Gravets utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) and Psychodynamic Therapy. She is also trained in trauma-informed approaches including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE).

Dr. Gravets completed her doctoral training at University College London and University of East London in the UK. She has worked for various NHS services including South Camden Drug Services, Specialist Inpatient and Outpatient HIV Unit, Family Medicine Team, Becontreee Psychotherapy Service, Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Early Intervention and Prevention Service, Adolescent Inpatient Service and West London Action for Children. These clinical positions enabled her to gain considerable experience working with a variety of difficulties and with individuals across the lifespan.

In Toronto, she held positions as a Clinical Psychologist at Parkwood Institute’s Operational Stress Injury Clinic working with veterans, serving members of the Canadian Forces and the RCMP. She also held positions at St. Michael’s Hospital’s Department of Family and Community Medicine, and at the University Health Network’s Altum Health and the Toronto Western Hospital.

Dr. Gravets also has extensive experience of working in private practice. Her commitment lies with delivering evidence-based and outcome-orientated assessments and treatment plans which incorporate clients’ unique needs and goals.

Clinical Psychologists are required to complete a related Masters and Ph.D. program to practice in the province of Ontario that must be research-based and subsequently have a thesis component. They are governed by the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).
