Dr. Susan Moraes is a registered Psychologist in the province of Ontario, with specializations in the practice of Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology & Forensic/Correctional Psychology with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
Dr. Moraes has over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families with a variety of mental health and addiction issues. She has worked within a Police Service in Ontario for many years which allows her to have a unique firsthand understanding of Police organizational culture and functioning, as well as specific challenges faced by officers and civilian personnel. Dr. Moraes has also worked in correctional institutions, community agencies, hospitals, universities, and in private practices. She has extensive experience treating concussions, cognitive disorders, PTSD, anxiety, depression, pain, sleep, substance use, grief, and occupational stress injuries. She prides herself in evidence-based, ethical, empathetic and culturally mindful assessment and treatment practices.
Dr. Moraes has particular interests in the psychological assessment and treatment of first responders (police, fire, EMS), military, and correctional services staff. She is the founder of Mindframe Psychology Centre and holds memberships in several provincial and international organizations. In addition, she provides external consultation services, supervision services, workshops, and seminars to businesses, police services, and provincial and federal organizations. She has offices in Mississauga, ON and Burlington, ON.
