Elizabeth earned her undergraduate degree in social Work at King’s University College at Western University and her graduate degree at Lyle S. Halman Faculty of Social Work at Sir Wilfrid Laurier University. Elizabeth has practiced in the areas of child and adolescent mental health, intimate partner violence, and adults mental health. Elizabeth practices therapy with an anti-oppressive lens and cognitive-behavioural, narrative, and solution-focused theoretical approaches. Elizabeth’s therapeutic engagement is trauma informed and attuned to the significance of attachment and how attachment bonds are developed. Elizabeth believes the power of the therapeutic bond activates individuals to listen to their own wisdom and realize positive change in their own life.
Elizabeth is also interested in providing therapy to men who have used abuse in their intimate relationships such that long term healing and wellness for these men and their families may become a reality.
