Kennedy started her career as an addiction counsellor before moving into the realm of treating trauma and becoming a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). Kennedy spent several years working in a local school board and in community mental health settings before deciding to return to school to obtain her Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology and deciding to go into private practice.
Kennedy has seen firsthand what trauma can do to the lives of those who care for others and she has a strong belief in advocating for mental health and normalizing the experience of therapy. In her current practice, Kennedy specialize in working with trauma, ranging from complex developmental trauma to working with those in high risk occupations.Kennedy takes an integrative approach which means that treatment is based on your specific needs and concerns.

Clinical Psychologists
Clinical Psychologists are required to complete a related Masters and Ph.D. program to practice in the province of Ontario that must be research-based and subsequently have a thesis component. They are governed by the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).
Registered Psychotherapists
Registered Psychotherapists (RPs) are registered by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and, like Registered Social Workers and Clinical Psychologists, are permitted to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy.
Registered Social Workers
Registered Social Workers (RSW) are helping individuals to enhance their well-being. They are governed by the Ontario College of Social Workers.
