Megan provides therapy that specializes in young adults and youth as well as survivors of violence. Her background includes trauma counselling for individuals who have been subjected to sexual abuse, family and intimate partner violence, as well as human trafficking. She has counselled folks living with anxiety and depression through a major Canadian mental health organization and completed her master’s program clinical placement in a renowned private practice that specialized in treating first responders and their families.

Megan owns a small private practice called The Session Space where she serves people virtually as well as in person. She is a Registered Social Worker and Ontario Certified Teacher who holds a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.), and bachelor degrees in psychology (B.A) and education (B.Ed.).

When working with clients, Megan uses a trauma informed approach that values “what happened to you?'” over “what’s wrong with you?” which has been guided by her training and education in human development, trauma, identity and social systems.
