Samantha Sarty

Sam (she/her) is a Registered Social Worker and Registered Nurse practicing in Mi’kma’ki (Nova Scotia). She sees clients across the province virtually and at her office in Dartmouth. Sam has over ten years of experience in the mental health field and has specialized in working with Operational Stress Injuries since 2018. She has worked with many police officers, firefighters, medical professionals and veterans over the years and is never frazzled when it comes to working with complexity and all forms of trauma. She is steadfast in her belief in the power of connection and appropriate humour, as well as the tenacity of the human spirit. She is a CACBT Certified Therapist, CTSA Certified Prolonged Exposure Therapist, CPT Provider Status Therapist and working towards EMDR Certification with EMDRIA. She holds herself to a high standard when it comes to quality of care and engages in ongoing education and supervision to continuously grow as a clinician. But most of all she prides herself on her dedication to her clients, “[Sam] never gave up on me.”
