Mental Health First Aid Canada is a national program, which is based on the same principles as medical first aid.  Where medical first aid teaches people skills that they need to help someone with an injury until medical help arrives, mental health first aid teaches people the skills they need to help someone developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis until they can receive professional treatment or until the crisis is over.  The program is evidence-based and is proven effective.

911 Resilience

Resilience training and education for all emergency responders is a key tool for helping people stay healthy and strong on the job. Understanding the psychological risks involved in the work, and learning pro-active strategies to bolster personal and organizational resilience are key to health and success on throughout one’s career.

All training and education sessions noted anchored in the latest science and research, and evidence-based practice, while also being job relevant, engaging, and with many practical examples, and using terms and stories the audience can relate to.

 

Trauma Awareness Skills Courses (TASC)

Are you looking for information on Traumatic Stress?   Are you ready to take action and learn more about trauma training and what you can do to help yourself or someone else?      If you, or someone you care about, has been affected by a trauma stress injury, Bit by Bit offers TASC.

Our team, located in Ontario and Nova Scotia, consists of independent contract trainers (some volunteer), psychologists, therapists, educators, counselors and PTSD survivors and collaboratively we have implemented a practical workshop to best address the daily complexities experienced by those living with or supporting people with traumatic stress injuries.  We offer a professional perspective tailored with a personal comprehensive understanding of Post-Traumatic Stress injuries.
