Wendi Woo is a Registered Clinical Psychological Associate and member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario who has been providing psychological services to adults living with a range of difficulties and diagnoses including PTSD, operational stress injuries, addictions, mood and anxiety disorders, stress management, and self-esteem issues for more than 25 years. Much of her professional career has been focused on working with current and retired members of the CF, Police, and other First Responders. With this population, in addition to helping them cope with operational stress injuries (OSIs), there is also a focus on building resilience for future encounters, or for those recently released from service, emotionally transitioning to civilian life.

Her training is in cognitive-behavioural therapy and she also incorporates elements of motivational interviewing, dialectal behaviour therapy, exposure therapy, and solution focused therapy into her practice. In addition, she is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Wendi has presented on topics related to PTSD and Addictions at a number of different conferences across Canada, and was honoured to be able to speak at the Badge of Life Canada “Surviving Trauma & Building Resilience in the Workplace” events in Waterloo and in Ottawa. Wendi was previously with the Homewood Health Centre as a Psychological Associate first with the Program for Traumatic Stress Recovery, then the Addiction Medicine Program, and then held the role of Clinical Manager with the Addiction Medicine Service before moving into full-time private practise.
