On Saturday June 14th 2025, Badge of Life Canada was honoured to be the beneficiary of the third “Les Domestiques Cycling Ride” — an incredible show of strength, solidarity, and support for the mental health of Canadian Public Safety Personnel and their Families. Cycling alongside members of the Les Domestiques Cycling Club were OPP and Toronto Police Service cyclists. The event brought together leaders, advocates and community members united by a shared purpose to make healing possible for those impacted by operational stress injuries.
Thanks to the leadership of Murray Barnes, Hank Idsinga, and T.J. Donnelly, and with the inspiring presence of Commissioner Thomas Carrique and Peter Gilgan, the event raised an extraordinary $370,000. We are also deeply grateful to Ash and Mona Singh for their ongoing commitment—pledging $50,000 annually for five years to sustain this critical work.

Flanders, our Canine Assisted Intervention Animal, also made an appearance after the ride, spreading smiles and reminding everyone of the healing power of connection.

“Coming Soon”
Canadian Public Safety personnel and their families are never on this journey alone. Organizations like Badge of Life Canada are here to be a part of that journey with a pro-active approach to mental wellness. We need to continue the dialogue in order to transform the culture. We are always open to positive comments and suggestions. You can reach us on our website at BadgeofLifeCanada.org.
