Our fifth annual “Advancing Post-Traumatic Growth Event” will be held at the beautiful Horseshoe Resort in Oro-Medonte (Ontario), just north of Barrie, on October 15 and 16, 2026, featuring an expert line up of presenters and panelists.
Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Training – Online via Zoom
The courses, Group Crisis Intervention and Assisting Individuals in Crisis, are designed to enhance crisis response skills and support the mental health of those working in high-stress operational environments.

Group Crisis Intervention: April 20–21, 2026
Assisting Individuals in Crisis: October 19–20, 2026 Time: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM ET
Location: Online via Zoom Cost: $350 + HST ($395.50 total) per course or $685 for both ($774.05 total) Includes ICISF e-book materials and certificates of completion Both courses are officially recognized and approved by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF).
This training is for: • First responders (police, fire, EMS, corrections) • Peer support teams • Crisis response teams • Mental health professionals and healthcare providers • Human resources and workplace wellness leaders No prior CISM training is required.
Participants will develop practical skills to: • Reduce acute stress following critical incidents • Provide structured peer and group support • Recognize stress reactions and trauma responses • Make appropriate referrals when additional care is required

Certifications
A short description of the various therapist certifications in Ontario.
Clinical Psychologists
Clinical Psychologists are required to complete a related Masters and Ph.D. program to practice in the province of Ontario that must be research-based and subsequently have a thesis component. They are governed by the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).
Registered Psychotherapists
Registered Psychotherapists (RPs) are registered by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and, like Registered Social Workers and Clinical Psychologists, are permitted to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy.
Registered Social Workers
Registered Social Workers (RSW) are helping individuals to enhance their well-being. They are governed by the Ontario College of Social Workers.
