Canadian Public Safety Personnel, is a term that is continually evolving in academic research, encompassing personnel, acting in professional capacities, who ensure the safety and security of Canadians, and shall include, but not be limited to the following:

 

  • Police personnel, including sworn/civilian, active/retired Federal, Provincial, Municipal and First Nations policing, along with
  • Special Constables, Sheriffs and Bylaw Enforcement personnel
  • Public Safety communication personnel
  • Corrections personnel
  • Fire Services personnel (career and volunteer)
