About me

I am a corporate director, board educator, and C‑suite executive with nearly 30 years of global experience in governance, risk management, audit, and forensic accounting across complex, highly regulated organizations. I’ve worked extensively with public, private, and not‑for‑profit boards, and I’m known for building strong, trust‑based relationships with regulators, auditors, and law enforcement.

I am honored to be involved with Badge of Life Canada and continue our work in providing vital support to those who serve and protect our communities, ensuring they have the resilience and resources needed for their challenging roles.

Most recently, as Chief Audit Executive at OMERS, I elevated the assurance function during a period of significant transformation within one of Canada’s largest pension plans. Now, in my portfolio career with BIG (Best In Governance) and the University of Waterloo, I continue to advise boards and senior leaders on strengthening governance practices, while mentoring the next generation of professionals.

I am recognized for my integrity, strategic insight, and unwavering commitment to transparency, accountability, and strong leadership.

Clinical Psychologists

Clinical Psychologists are required to complete a related Masters and Ph.D. program to practice in the province of Ontario that must be research-based and subsequently have a thesis component. They are governed by the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).

Registered Psychotherapists

Registered Psychotherapists (RPs) are registered by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and, like Registered Social Workers and Clinical Psychologists, are permitted to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy.

Registered Social Workers (RSW) are helping individuals to enhance their well-being. They are governed by the Ontario College of Social Workers.
