Change the dialogue

My goal is to change perceived weaknesses to previous weaknesses.

I credit my career for providing invaluable lived experience, providing learning opportunities and even hardships which allowed for transformation and personal growth in my own life journey. I am a strong believer in building resiliency and express gratitude for the hardships within my career which fostered my resiliency skills. I have had the opportunity to further my knowledge around resiliency, positive sleep hygiene, and mindfulness by completing courses with Penn State University, NYPD and Oscar Kilo in the UK.

My life journey has provided me with a personal level of understanding in how First Responders deal with work stressors, how we interact with each other, as well as understanding ourselves. Being a witness to these changes fuels my motivation to pay it forward through Badge of Life Canada. I am a benevolent peer support facilitator, active in making our weekly virtual psycho-educational peer sessions a success. As the volunteer co-ordinator, as well as assisting in Event Planning, I am eager to bring forth my energy and ideas. I am motivated to be a part of a team who believes in lifelong learning and growth.

I also understand that everyone has a story and feels blessed to share a chapter in that story.

Please note that Badge of Life Canada does NOT provide funding, train or supply any type of service dogs.
