From May 2nd to 4th, Badge of Life Canada was proud to participate in the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs (OAFC) Trade Show in Mississauga, showcasing our proactive mental health initiatives for first responders.
Executive Director Laura Kloosterman at the BOLC Table
Our team engaged with numerous fire service professionals, demonstrating our commitment to mental health advocacy through interactive exhibits and informative sessions. The event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with those at the front lines, discuss their needs, and introduce our latest programs designed to support their well-being:
– Engagement: We reached hundreds of attendees, sharing resources and insights on mental health.
– Awareness: Increased awareness about the importance of proactive mental health measures in high-stress professions.
– Networking: Strengthened ties with fire service leaders and other stakeholders committed to the well-being of first responders.
Our presence at the OAFC Trade Show has energized our efforts and reinforced the importance of accessible mental health support for first responders. We look forward to building on the connections made and continuing our mission to empower healthy living and post-traumatic growth. Canadian Public Safety personnel and their families are never on this journey alone. Organizations like Badge of Life Canada are here to be a part of that journey with a pro-active approach to mental wellness. We need to continue the dialogue in order to transform the culture. We are always open to positive comments and suggestions. You can reach us on our website at BadgeofLifeCanada.org.
