Badge of Life Canada recently toured Eastern Ontario and experienced an incredible few days on the road connecting with the people who serve and protect our communities every day.

BOLC volunteer Charlene Davidson, Executive Director Laura Kloosterman, Flanders and members of the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service
From Long Sault Fire, to the Cornwall Courthouse visiting with Special Constables and Crown Attorney staff, and spending time with the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service — we were honoured by the warm welcome, meaningful conversations, and shared commitment to mental health and wellness.
Moments like these remind us why this work matters. Showing up. Building trust. Creating space for connection, support, and post-traumatic growth.
Thank you to every member who took time out of demanding schedules to meet with us and spend time with our Canine-Assisted Intervention team. Your leadership, professionalism, and care for one another does not go unnoticed.

Canadian Public Safety personnel and their families are never on this journey alone. Organizations like Badge of Life Canada are here to be a part of that journey with a pro-active approach to mental wellness. We need to continue the dialogue in order to transform the culture. We are always open to positive comments and suggestions. You can reach us on our website at BadgeofLifeCanada.org.
