Our fourth annual “Advancing Post-Traumatic Growth Event” will be held at the beautiful Horseshoe Resort in Oro-Medonte (Ontario), just north of Barrie, on October 16 and 17, 2025, featuring an expert line up of presenters and panelists.

Executive Director Laura Kloostermand and Badge of Life Canada Canine Assisted Intervention dog Flanders will be attending the Toronto Police wellness day at the Toronto police college on 9 August 2025.
This event is for friends and family of the most recent cadet class. It will have self-directed open house with information and interactive booths, food, music and Badge of Life Canada is honoured to be part of it.
Badge of Life Canada is proud to support Federal Corrections Wellness Days, bringing trauma-informed, evidence-based resources to the frontline professionals who work behind the walls.

Collins Bay Institution on the 2nd of October 2025.
Millhaven Institution on the 30th of October 2025.
Executive Director Laura Kloostermand and Badge of Life Canada Canine Assisted Intervention dog Flanders will be attending the Ontario Police College (OPC) wellness event to engage with future members of Ontario’s policing community – Promoting mental wellness from day 1 of service.
The event will take place in Aylmer, Ontario, on the 10th of September 2025.
Badge of Life Canada is honoured to take part in Ontario Provincial Corrections Family day events across Ontario, offering support to the families who stand behind those working in some of the most challenging environments.

First Responders and Families: Humanizing the Uniform
This event will explore the emotional toll of service and the critical role families play in supporting those behind the uniform. Together, we will foster empathy, connection, and understanding.
Certifications
A short description of the various therapist certifications in Ontario.
Clinical Psychologists
Clinical Psychologists are required to complete a related Masters and Ph.D. program to practice in the province of Ontario that must be research-based and subsequently have a thesis component. They are governed by the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO).
Registered Psychotherapists
Registered Psychotherapists (RPs) are registered by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and, like Registered Social Workers and Clinical Psychologists, are permitted to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy.
Registered Social Workers
Registered Social Workers (RSW) are helping individuals to enhance their well-being. They are governed by the Ontario College of Social Workers.
