I am an Indigenous counsellor with over 30 years of extensive experience in trauma recovery, addiction support, and harm reduction. His deep clinical roots include work within shelters, detox centers, and high-intensity environments, where he addresses the intersections of opiate dependence, concurrent disorders, and acquired brain injury. As a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee for Correctional Service Canada, I bring a sophisticated understanding of the institutional and systemic factors impacting mental health.

I specialize in supporting Ontario Public Service (OPS) employees, first responders and public safety personnel, focusing on trauma recovery, moral injury, and operational stress. My approach is grounded in a culturally safe framework that honours Indigenous perspectives alongside CAMH-certified training in dual diagnosis and abstinence-based therapy. With specialized expertise in trauma-informed care, relapse prevention, and conflict resolution, I provide a nonjudgmental space that integrates the biology of recovery with the “spirit of counselling,” fostering resilience and sustainable healing for those facing the most demanding workplace dynamics.
