Kevin Yarnell is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) and ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) based in Vancouver, BC, with a deep commitment to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of first responders and the men who serve their communities.
Before transitioning into mental health work, Kevin spent years in law enforcement as a Special Constable with the Municipality of York Region.
That lived experience gives him a firsthand understanding of the unique culture, pressures, and emotional demands that first responders face.
The expectation to stay strong, the reluctance to ask for help, and the cumulative toll that the work takes on mental health, relationships, and identity.
Kevin holds a Professional Counselling Diploma from Rhodes Wellness College and has been in private practice since 2022, specializing in supporting men with stress management, relationship challenges, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. He also facilitates men’s circles in Vancouver, creating spaces where men can connect authentically and support one another without judgment.
His approach is grounded in attachment theory, somatic practice, inner child work, and narrative coaching. He blends clinical depth with coaching to meet each client where they are and support lasting, meaningful change.
Kevin knows what it takes to make the shift from a career built on toughness to a life built on truth. He brings that understanding into every session, with zero judgment and full presence.
