Brooke Leferink

Thanks for stopping by! My name is Brooke and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist working from Beyond Trauma Recovery Centre, in Barrie, Ontario. As you can guess, our clinic specializes in trauma support and has long standing alliances with first responders across Simcoe County. We know that when we are dealing with trauma, we are dealing with an injury to the nervous system. We use person centered approaches, CBT, and EMDR to help heal some of those injuries and get folks back on their feet.

My work is shaped by my experience working with other first responders, family members of first responders, specialized trainings, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My goal is to create a casual and authentic, yet effective, therapeutic experience for my clients. I appreciate collaboration in the work since no one understands your experiences better than you. If you’re down-to-earth, motivated, and looking for real change, then we should be a good fit!
