Dr. Leah Todd, C. Psych.
Founder and Owner of Centre Wellness, Assessment & Psychotherapy
Dr. Leah Todd is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist with over a decade of experience. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and has experience across diverse settings, including psychiatric facilities, provincial corrections, and the Correctional Service of Canada.
In her private practice at Centre Wellness, Dr. Todd focuses on providing assessment and trauma treatment, with a unique focus on supporting first responders and their families. Her professional journey—spanning correctional, forensic, and mental health settings—has provided her with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by law enforcement, corrections officers, paramedics, military personnel, and others in high-stress roles. She offers evidence-based assessments, interventions, and therapeutic care tailored to their unique experiences and needs.
In her work, Dr. Todd sees clients as resilient, even when they may not yet recognize their own strength. “My goal in the first session is to listen to the client’s story, provide a sense of safety, and offer hope that, although this is where they are right now, it’s not where they have to stay.”
Her practice supports individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including:
• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and trauma
• Workplace stress
• Moral Injury
• Anxiety and mood disorders
• Anger management and emotion regulation
• Relational difficulties
• Substance use
Dr. Todd believes the therapeutic relationship is most effective when it is authentic. While her practice is grounded in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, she is trained in EMDR and CPT, and integrates somatic interventions, ACT, and IFS where appropriate. “I want clients to feel empowered by their insights and capable of making meaningful, positive shifts in their lives,” she says.
