Accepts work from a Workplace Injury Board or equivalent

Jennifer Cieslak is a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist who has been working with first responders and individuals impacted by trauma since completing her Master’s in Counselling in 2016. She trained and practiced in Alberta before relocating to Ontario in 2020, bringing with her a strong foundation in trauma-focused care.

Jennifer has extensive experience supporting first responders affected by operational stress injuries. She has completed psychological assessments to inform treatment planning and support claims processes, with a focus on improving overall functioning and well-being. Her approach is grounded in evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Her practice supports individuals navigating PTSD and trauma, workplace stress, anxiety and mood disorders, anger and emotion regulation challenges, and relationship difficulties. In addition to therapy, Jennifer regularly conducts assessments through the WSIB Community Mental Health Program to help guide care and support recovery.

Jennifer is known for her warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative style. She understands the culture and demands of first responder work, and the importance of having a space that feels both safe and practical. Her goal is to help clients make sense of their experiences, reduce the impact of trauma, and build the skills needed to feel like themselves again—or even stronger than before.
