I am a passionate and dedicated Social Worker and Psychotherapist based in Barrie, Ontario, with a specialized practice focused on supporting trauma exposed professionals across Simcoe and Muskoka. With over 25 years of professional experience, I bring a deep understanding of the unique psychological and cultural challenges faced by those who serve on the front lines. My work focuses on helping individuals experiencing Operational Stress Injury (OSI), Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS), moral injury, sanctuary trauma, and the cumulative impact of workplace stress and trauma.
In my practice, I also work extensively with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma-related conditions, whether stemming from professional or personal experiences. My therapeutic approach integrates multiple evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Clinical Hypnosis, Mindfulness, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP). This integrative approach allows me to tailor treatment to the unique needs and experiences of each client.
As a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), I provide psychotherapy services accessible through extended health benefits and WSIB. In addition to my trauma-focused work, I bring over 15 years of experience in the family court system—helping separating and divorcing couples navigate parenting arrangements—and have served as a Parenting Assessor for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer.
I am deeply committed to advocating for and supporting First Responders throughout their healing journey, offering compassionate, trauma-informed care designed to promote resilience, recovery, and overall well-being.
