Hi, I’m Michelle. I’m a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I hold a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology and an Undergraduate Degree in Police Studies. I am very familiar with the First Responder culture both professionally and personally and have witnessed the nuances and hardships that trauma and stress can cause on First Responders and their families. Over the last three years, I have worked directly with First Responders (Fire, Paramedics, Law Enforcement, Correctional Officers, and Veterans) and their loved ones.
By specializing in trauma, I support individuals experiencing symptoms related to anxiety, depression, PTSD, moral injury, acute distress disorder and adjustment disorder, amongst others. My practice incorporates a blend of various therapeutic approaches such as EMDR, Brainspotting, NeurOptimal Neurofeedback, mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am client-centred in my approach, and my goal is to empower my clients and help them gain resilience, mental and emotional strength and the tools needed to cope with life’s challenges.
