Michelle has experience with individuals and families who have experienced crisis and challenges in their lives. She has experience clinical private practice; in the criminal justice system; and over a decade of frontline child welfare. Michelle’s therapeutic approach is holistic and trauma-informed. She believes in the power of authenticity and the power of the therapist-client alliance to create meaningful change in one’s life.
Michelle has a Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the prestigious McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. She obtained her Masters of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario. She completed her Somatic EMDR training through The Embody Lab. Prior to being a therapist, Michelle obtained her diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from Fanshawe College and worked as a personal trainer for over a decade.

Michelle uses an eclectic approach to therapy including somatic therapy; cognitive processing; EMDR; strengths-based and solution-focused. She works with individuals and couples, including working around issues of infidelity and relationship strain.
