Badge of Life Canada is proud to announce that Mr. Hank Idsinga will be delivering the Opening Remarks of this year’s event at the Horseshoe Resort in Ontario.
Hank Idsinga is a highly respected figure in Canadian law enforcement with a career spanning 34 years in the Toronto Police Service. He spent the first 15 years of his career in Divisional work before moving to the Homicide Squad in 2005 as a Detective. In 2011, he was promoted to Detective Sergeant, and in 2018, he took on the role of Inspector in charge of the Homicide Squad.
He is best known for his role as the major case manager in the investigation into serial killer Bruce McArthur. This high-profile case was a significant part of his career, and his work on it was widely recognized.
After retiring from the police service in 2024, he joined Global News radio on Global News Toronto as a regular commentator on crime issues. He is also an instructor at Humber College in Toronto, teaching in the Forensic Identification pillar.
Hank is renowned for his extensive and impactful experience in law enforcement and his dedication to mental health advocacy within the First Responders community. His insights will contribute to your understanding and advancement of post-traumatic growth.
Our third annual “Advancing Post-Traumatic Growth Event” will be held at the Horseshoe Resort in Oro-Medonte (Ontario)
from October 16-18, 2024, featuring a expert presenters and panelists.
Registration will be on the 16th of October and the Event begins on the 17th.
